As we near the end of 2009, we thank you for your support and commitment to our critically important efforts in building a sustainable future – we truly could not achieve so much without you, our members and donors.

This has been the most successful in Earth Island Institute’s 27-year history of growing environmental leadership. We moved our main offices to the new David Brower Center; added five new projects under our fiscal sponsorship; our New Leaders Initiative celebrated a milestone 10th Annual Brower Youth Awards; Earth Island Journal launched ‘The EnvironmentaList,’ blog; and provided strategic investments of more than $200,000 through our Restoration Initiatives Fund to local watershed projects in eleven southern California communities.
