The mission of The Altai Project is to protect the natural and cultural heritage of the Altai – a uniquely diverse, mountainous region of southern Siberia. We provide small grants to nonprofit organizations in the Altai region of southern Siberia, organize professional exchanges, and carry out joint projects with our Altai partners in order to reach our goals of nature conservation, promoting renewable energy and environmentally sustainable design, and supporting indigenous organizations in their efforts to protect and restore their traditional lands and life ways.
